From the flapper era, here is a bandeau bra or binding bra made of a pink cotton fabric, woven with a satin pattern, and with elasticized insets and cotton straps. It does up with three hooks and eyes at the back. There is no label. In the 1920s a boyish flat bust line was considered more desirable and the majority of women could only achieve this effect by binding their breasts with a bandeau bra . These were worn mainly in the early part of the decade - they supported the breasts by compressing them. These types of bandeau bra were constructed by using a simple band of fabric and they were the bras of choice at that time. Please rely on the following measurements for fit, all given in inches.
