This is a very nice quality vintage wool jacket designed by Claude Montana. Montana started his own label in 1979, and entered into a design agreement with Gruppo GFT in 1987. He worked for Lanvin between 1989 and 1992 and terminated his agreement with Gruppo GFT in 1995. In 1992, he introduced the “State of Claude Montana” ladies’ line - as this jacket was manufactured by Gruppo GFT, it dates to between 1992 and 1995. This jacket is made in a navy blue colour, has peaked lapels and four decorative buttons arranged in a double breasted style. The jacket closes with a short metal zipper positioned at the opening between the buttons. It is cut to accentuate the body silhouette, quality tailoring. It is fully lined in a navy blue acetate/rayon blended fabric. Label: State of Claude Montana / Made in Italy. This is a nice example of Claude Montana design….well tailored and of very good quality, this is a jacket that is both classic and individual at the same time!
